Sinusitis
The real culprit? “Mucus”. It is the favorite breeding ground of infectious germs and bacteria. Why turning our body into a mucus factory?
Mucus forming foods:
- Biscuits
- White Bread
- Spaghetti
- Doughnuts
- Cakes
- Pies
- Pastries
- Cow’s Milk
There is no pint going through with a natural treatment if the formation of mucus cannot be stopped.
Smoking, Drinking, coffee, must be stopped too.
Have plenty of fresh air in the morning and even at night. Cultivate the habit of having deep breaths. Engage also in regular outdoor exercises. Walking barefoot on the grass or pebbles for at least 30 minutes a day and massaging the tips of the toes and little fingers of the hands has been reported by many naturopaths to have beneficial effects in the drainage and healthy functioning of the sinuses. Have regular vowel movements always.
Drink at least 1 pint of fresh fruit juices everyday and eat plenty of laxative fruits like oranges, grapefruit, guava, papaya, melons, bananas, pineapples and raisins. There are some of the nature’s powerful dissolvers of mucus. The following vegetables should be eaten alternately (not together) with fruits: okra, pumpkin, radish, eggplant, lettuce and cauliflower.
In case of pain, a cold compress on the sinuses and forehead brings relief. Use a hot compress however, if this will bring quicker relief. Hot foot baths are also effective in decongesting the brain and the sinuses.
