Endosulfan on Board MV Princess of the Stars
10 metric ton Endosulfan, a hazardous chemical is said to be on board the MV Princess of the Stars, a passenger ship that sunk in the waters of Romblon last June 21 at the height of typhoon Frank. Because of this said highly acutely toxic chemical, retrieval and search operations to the ship halted.
Professional divers are now studying on how to get endosulfan out of the ship as soon as possible although they admit that it is going to be risky because mainly of the location of the endosulfan container that got more deeper inside the vessel. (more…)
